Training for Youth by Adults

ICAH’s Training Department offers a variety of professional development opportunities related to our policy issue areas: Sexual Health Care Access, Sexual Health Education and Support for Young Parents. The content of our training is in accordance with our mission, vision, and youth development philosophy. ICAH brings national trends and current research and offers continued technical assistance. ICAH can also create a tailored training package to meet your needs. Our trainings can be conducted in any Illinois location for a service fee.

Intensive 3-Day Institute for Young Women

ICAH’s Intensive 3-Day Institute is a program for young women to learn about sexual health issues and skills for navigating into healthy adulthood. A caregiver track is offered to prepare them for speaking with their daughters about sexuality issues. Additionally, a section of the institute focuses on familial communication and caregiver and daughter relationships, bringing them together to develop strategies for improved communication.
